Purnagiri Temple - A Sacred Journey
A few kilometers from Khatima stands the famous Purnagiri Temple – one of the 108 Siddha Peeths. Perched atop a hill about 20 kilometers from Tanakpur at 3,000 meters above sea level, this sacred spot attracts devotees from far and wide.
The temple gets absolutely packed during Chaitra Navratri in March-April. You can drive until Thulligad, but then it's a 3-kilometer trek to reach the temple. Trust me, the journey is worth every step.
